Ingredients
▢ 4 to 6 ounce skinless salmon fillets
▢ ½ teaspoon salt
▢ ½ teaspoon black pepper
▢ ¼ cup honey
▢ 1 lemon zested and juiced
▢ 1 tablespoon soy sauce
▢ ½ teaspoon garlic powder
▢ 1 tablespoon olive oil
▢ Lemon wedgedfor serving
▢ Parsley choppedfor serving
Instructions
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels, then season both sides with salt and pepper.
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, lemon zest, lemon juice, soy sauce, and garlic powder. Set this glaze aside.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place the salmon in the pan, presentation side down (the side you plan to serve facing up), and cook for about 4–5 minutes.
Carefully flip the salmon and cook for another minute.
Pour the honey lemon glaze over the salmon in the pan. Let the glaze bubble and thicken for around 3–4 minutes, spooning it over the fillets to coat them well.
Serve the salmon immediately, drizzling any extra glaze over the top.
Garnish with a lemon wedge and a sprinkle of chopped parsley.
Notes
Salmon should be cooked to 145°F/63°C Be careful not to overcook the salmon because it can dry out easily although the honey glaze will help with that. Ideally, use a food thermometer to check the temperature.
