Honey Lemon Glazed Salmon
A quick and delicious salmon fillet drizzled with a sweet, tangy honey lemon glaze, perfect for an easy dinner.
Ingredients
- ▢ 4 to 6 ounce skinless salmon fillets
- ▢ ½ teaspoon salt
- ▢ ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ▢ ¼ cup honey
- ▢ 1 lemon zested and juiced
- ▢ 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- ▢ ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ▢ 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ▢ Lemon wedged for serving
- ▢ Parsley chopped for serving
Instructions
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels, then season both sides with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, lemon zest, lemon juice, soy sauce, and garlic powder. Set this glaze aside.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place the salmon in the pan, presentation side down (the side you plan to serve facing up), and cook for about 4–5 minutes.
- Carefully flip the salmon and cook for another minute.
- Pour the honey lemon glaze over the salmon in the pan. Let the glaze bubble and thicken for around 3–4 minutes, spooning it over the fillets to coat them well.
- Serve the salmon immediately, drizzling any extra glaze over the top.
- Garnish with a lemon wedge and a sprinkle of chopped parsley.
Notes
Salmon should be cooked to 145°F/63°C
Be careful not to overcook the salmon because it can dry out easily although the honey glaze will help with that. Ideally, use a food thermometer to check the temperature.
