Ingredients

  • ▢ 4 to 6 ounce skinless salmon fillets
  • ▢ ½ teaspoon salt
  • ▢ ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ▢ ¼ cup honey
  • ▢ 1 lemon zested and juiced
  • ▢ 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • ▢ ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ▢ 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ▢ Lemon wedged for serving
  • ▢ Parsley chopped for serving

Instructions

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels, then season both sides with salt and pepper.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, lemon zest, lemon juice, soy sauce, and garlic powder. Set this glaze aside.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place the salmon in the pan, presentation side down (the side you plan to serve facing up), and cook for about 4–5 minutes.
  • Carefully flip the salmon and cook for another minute.
  • Pour the honey lemon glaze over the salmon in the pan. Let the glaze bubble and thicken for around 3–4 minutes, spooning it over the fillets to coat them well.
  • Serve the salmon immediately, drizzling any extra glaze over the top.
  • Garnish with a lemon wedge and a sprinkle of chopped parsley.

Notes

Salmon should be cooked to 145°F/63°C
Be careful not to overcook the salmon because it can dry out easily although the honey glaze will help with that. Ideally, use a food thermometer to check the temperature.
